This version was built on Ubuntu 12.04 ("Precise Pangolin"), the current Long-Term Support version. It should work on other Debian-based Linux distributions, and will probably work on many non-Debian-based distributions as well, though we have not tested it on any other yet.

We do not presently make RPM files, but if a few people request it, we can do so. If you're interested, please let us know.

This version has no manpage yet; we'll add one when we write the documentation files for the other platforms.

To install on Ubuntu 12.04 or later:

Download the appropriate *.deb file (32-bit or 64-bit);
Double-click it in the file manager of your choice (or if you prefer the command line, it's sudo dpkg -i <filename>, with <filename> replaced by the path and filename of the *.deb file you downloaded in the first step).

We are considering setting up a software repository, compatible with Ubuntu's apt-get system. If you're interested in this, please let us know so we can give it a higher priority.

NOTE: The 32-bit version is an older one. Due to difficulties with a library we use, we've only been able to update the 64-bit one to the current version. We'll get that fixed soon.
